Centre member Niklas Forsberg will present a paper at “The XIII Prague Interpretation Colloquium: Fiction and Pretense” at the Department of Analytic Philosophy, Institute of Philosophy, Czech Academy of Sciences. Forsberg’s talk focuses on Martha Nussbaum’s claim that by reading literature, one may learn what a particular way of like “feels like,” and explores the limitations of such forms of “empathetic readings” of literature.

We are very happy to welcome Valeria Candio, PhD student in philosophy at the University of Genoa, as visiting PhD student to the Centre for Ethics. Valeria’s research concerns moral perception and moral progress in Iris Murdoch’s thought. Her main interests lie in ethics, moral epistemology and moral psychology. During her stay at the Centre ((April – June 2018), she will work Murdoch’s thought and of possible developments of her insights on topics as moral perception and moral progress.
