During this Excursion to Kutná Hora, we will travel together by train (ca. 45-60 minutes) to Kutná Hora. There, we will first visit the famous Sedlec Ossuary (a Bone Church). After that we will have lunch in Kutná Hora’s picturesque city center. Finally, we will listen to a talk by Centre Member Joseph Wiinikka-Lydon in which he will discuss philosophical difficulties about the meaning of death, time, existence – about how one may deal (or fail to deal) with the fact that “[t]here is nothing that cannot be broken or taken from us” as Iris Murdoch puts it.
